I had planned on teaching selections from 2 Corinthians this year. But I’ve changed my mind and instead we’ll study all of 2 Thessalonians.

There are several reasons for this change, which I’ll outline tomorrow morning.

We try to make coming to SixSixteen’s Bible study as easy as we can for people. To that end, here are a few questions I get asked that may help you decide whether you want to come to our study:

Do I need to sign up to join the Bible study?
No.

Does it cost anything to join?
No.

Is there anything I have to do to join the study?
No, just come and you’ve “joined.”

Once I’ve come, do I have to make a commitment to come each week?
No, come whenever it works for you.

Is there any preparation I need to do each week or outside study required?
No.

Are there any materials I need to buy?
No, you just need a Bible.

Are you going to call on people to answer questions?
No, participation in discussion times is optional and many people just come and listen.

If I’m an “older single,” will I feel awkward coming?
No. In the past, more “older singles” than “younger singles” have come to studies we’ve done.

SixSixteen’s fall launch is Sunday, September 13th. For 8 weeks, we will be studying selections from 2 Thessalonains in a study entitled, “Glory Revealed.”

We meet at 9:00 a.m. in Room 114 of the downtown campus.

Sunday, August 2nd, Boyd will be teaching at Bethlehem’s senior fellowship, King’s Friends. If you are 55+, you are welcome to attend the class in Room 114 of the downtown campus. The class is from 10:45 – noon.

Boyd will be teaching a survey of the Gospel of Matthew entitled, “The Unexpected, Expected King.”

We are taking the summer off and plan to return September 13th.
