Room Change, But Still Downtown

We are anticipating are larger group that we had previously planned for Friday night at the Q&A session, so we have moved the gathering upstairs to the main hall at the downtown campus. You will be able to easily find it if you are unfamiliar with the downtown campus.

The start time remains 7:00 p.m. You’ll probably want to get there early.

Reminder: Q&A with Piper on Friday

As a reminder, the question and answer session for singles with Pastor John is this Friday at 7pm at the downtown campus.  We are currently scheduled to be in Room 52– the youth basement area.  We will have signs directing you if you don’t know where that is.

Update: we are now scheduled to be in the main hall of the downtown campus.

Q&A with John Piper for Singles - Nov. 14

SixSixteen Friday Night returns with a question and answer session with John Piper for singles.

The Q&A session is planned for Friday, November 14th at 7:00 p.m. at the downtown campus of Bethlehem. The session will last approximately an hour. There will be moderated questions and also an opportunity for audience members to ask questions.

What Happened to SixSixteen Friday Night?

If you’ve been wondering what happened to our monthly SixSixteen Friday Night gathering, it still exists and we haven’t forgotten about it.

SixSixteen’s Sunday morning Bible study has always been the core of our ministry and we wanted to focus on making sure its fall launch went well. As we evaluated things this summer, we thought it would be best to pour all our resources into launching the Sunday morning Bible study, featuring the book of Revelation (going on now). As a result, we decided to delay the fall start-up of SixSixteen Friday Night until later this year.

We are pleased to announce that our next planned SixSixteen Friday Night is November 14th at 7:00 p.m. at the downtown campus. Lord willing, the gathering will feature a question and answer time for singles with Pastor John Piper.

More information will be posted as the date nears.

Wow, I Wish I Had Taped That

Thanks again to Jack and Mary Delk for sharing with us last night. I wished we would have taped the Q&A because they had so many helpful things to say to singles.

Friday Night is Your Chance

Tomorrow evening (Friday) is your chance to ask a Bethlehem pastor a question.  Though we’ll focus most of the Q&A on topics related to singleness, you can ask a question about anything.  Perhaps you have a question about Bethlehem or ministry or life or Christianity.  This is your opportunity.

Friday, June 13th at 6:30p.m. at the downtown campus in the youth basement (look for signs if you don’t know where that is).

Q&A with a Pastor

Singles are invited to a question and answer time with a Bethlehem pastor at the next SixSixteen Friday Night. The gathering will feature a time of worship along with the opportunity to engage with a Bethlehem pastor on any issue, including issues related to singleness.

The gathering takes place on June 13th at the downtown campus (Room 52) at 6:30 p.m.

What Did You Wear Today?

What did you wear today?

Did you wear the shirt you picked out in order to create an image, to cast a perception, to tell a story about who you are? How about your shoes? Why did you choose heals rather than flats? Did you decide to do a tie or no tie? Why?

Perhaps you didn’t think a whole lot about what you put on today. Perhaps it was the only thing clean. Regardless, what you wear tells people a story about who you are or what you want to be, even if you didn’t think about it.

Spiritually speaking, you must know the answer to the question, “What are you wearing?” if you are going to battle for faith and fight sin in your life. This Friday night, we’ll take a look at Colossians 3 and see how this question helps us live holy lives.

Meet us at 6:30 at the downtown campus in Room 52. We hope to see you there. And especially if you are new to Bethlehem, make sure you find my wife (Ingrid) and I and say hello.

You Are What You Wear

May’s SixSixteen Friday Night is on May 16th at 6:30 p.m at the downtown campus in Room 52 (youth basement area).

We will be focusing our attention on Colossians 3 in a message entitled “You Are What You Wear.” We will also have a worship band leading us in song.

Pray like crazy that God would help us to worship Him, and then come with the expectation that you would meet God.
