Recommended Commentaries for 1 Peter

If you are wanting to studying 1 Peter along the way on your own, here are the three commentaries that I recommend. They serve as unofficial textbooks for the class. You, of course, are not required to have them to attend the class.
1) Wayne Grudem’s “The First Epistle of Peter: An Introduction and Commentary” (Tyndale New Testament Commentaries)
2) John MacArthur’s “First Peter” (Macarthur New Testament Commentary Series)
3) Thomas R. Schreiner’s “The New American Commentary: 1, 2 Peter, Jude” (New American Commentary)
